We began our relationship with the Cascade Designs team over 20 years ago while Ryan was working for a large rep agency in California (Richard Stone & Associates) selling many different outdoor manufacturers such as Danner Footwear, Atwater Carey First Aid, Wilderness Press Books and both Mountain Safety Research & Cascade Designs (two separate companies at that time).  While only a short stint occurred with the Cascade Designs team at this time (circa 1995), Ryan was able to ‘cut-his-teeth’  in the business of being an independent manufacturers sales representative and learn his way with the guidance of Richard Stone to becoming an independent manufacturers sales representative and strengthened the relationship with Mountain Safety Research through close working relationships with Fletcher Andrews, Michael Glavin, Dave Bartholomew, Marko Tubic & many others.

Our Mountain Safety Research & Cascade Designs relationship continued when Ryan left California for Colorado in late 1997 and began representing outdoor manufacturers in the Rocky Mountain Region.  In early 1998, as Hi Altitude Sales was formed we began selling Princeton Tec, Walrus Tents, Atwater Carey First Aid & soon thereafter Mountain Safety Research who acquired the tent brands.

A few years later, simultaneously, in the Pacific Northwest, Mountain Safety Research & Cascade Designs, two Seattle based US manufacturers of the finest & most innovative outdoor products in the outdoor industry came together and the two companies in August of 2001 became one.  This acquisition by Cascade Designs of Mountain Safety Research was steadfast on US manufacturing and staying privately held… and Hi Altitude Sales came with that purchase becoming the official sales representative agency for both Cascade Designs and Mountain Safety Research here in the Rockies in late 2001 & early 2002.

Since the acquisition of Mountain Safety Research by Cascade Designs in August of 2001 it’s been an excellent partnership that has grown in to one where we push each other, collaborate and expand our creativity and share in our profits together.  Hi Altitude Sales & Consulting, Inc. is proud to be representing one of the finest company’s in the industry.
